Temple Newsam, is a Grade I listed Tudor-Jacobean house in Leeds (West Yorkshire), with grounds landscaped by Capability Brown. The house is one of nine Leeds Museums and Galleries sites.
As part of the overall visitor learning experience, LM&G wanted to upgrade their existing education room to fully reflect the rich history and heritage of this wonderful house.
In close collaboration with the learning team, we conceived and designed a striking historical timeline that brings the former owners stories and collections to the fore. This immersive, 10-metre wall graphic, spans two walls and immediately captivates visitors, serving as the room’s centre piece.
Some of the portraits were printed on a thicker substrate, cut to shape and mounted proud of the main graphic for added depth. To further enhance this multi-layered approach, some portraits were framed in authentic period styles, lending an extra touch of historical resonance.
The result is a vibrant, textured and deeply engaging visual journey through Temple Newsam's past.
