Lambert Branding, Signage & Marketing Material

Client: Lambert

Lambert are a multi award winning, global leader in engineered automation solutions. Their engineering expertise and innovative approach are skills utilised by many of the worlds leading brands including Gillette, Procter & Gamble and Phillips.
Working closely with Lambert's Marketing Director, Inchpunch were tasked with re-branding the entire organisation. The original Lambert logo had dated very quickly and this was something they were keen to avoid this time around. Before this transformational process could take place, we firstly had to understand the companies ethos, vision, values, services, market positioning and client base.

Lambert pride themselves on providing elegant solutions to complex problems and we applied the same philosophy to the new identity, keeping the design refined and uncomplicated. The font (a modified version of Swiss) is a typography classic ensuring the logo will still look contemporary in years to come.

Lambert value the knowledge, dedication and skill of their personnel which has proved key to their success. We have reflected this 'company unity' by minimising the spacing (kerning) between all the letters so they appear slightly closer together than normal.

The segmented 'a' section in Lambert acts as a visual differentiator between the main logotype and companies three sub division - Automation Systems, Engineering Equipment and Precision Components. The tri-coloured line beneath the 'Value through Innovation' strap line on the main logo represents these three divisions.

Lambert Signage
As Lambert welcomes many visitors from all over the world it is important their premises are branded accordingly. We designed, manufactured and installed a range of signage across the entire facility. The main primary signs were made from built-up metal letters (powder coated black) with polished stainless steel "a" sections. All secondary signage (including individual buildings, car parking and totem signs) were made up of vinyl lettering applied to a powder coated white base with a thin polished stainless steel "a" section.

Lambert Corporate Brochures
The opening point in the Lambert Mission Statement reads "To empower, develop and invest in our people to fulfil their potential and provide a safe premier working environment for all - People are our business". As part of the brief, Lambert stressed the importance of this key statement and how it should resonate throughout the new brochures. Our approach was to think beyond simply referencing the statement in text, we wanted to visually deliver it in an engaging and impactive way.

Working with a professional photographer we developed a series of dynamic "man and machine" images featuring a broad range of Lambert personnel working on various live projects. The resulting photographs became the foundation of the brochures and underpinned Lambert's high value of its people.
