Himalayan Fashion Exhibition
Client: Leeds Museums and Galleries / Lotherton Hall
Lotherton Hall is a beautiful Edwardian estate and is one of nine sites in the Leeds Museums & Galleries group. As part of its visitor offering, Lotherton Hall regularly displays temporary textile themed exhibitions within its fashion galleries, providing a unique selling point for the house.
LM&G invited Inchpunch Design to submit a proposal for their next exhibition titled “Himalayan Fashion”. Our vibrant, bold and colourful design direction impressed the curators and we were subsequently hired to create all the exhibition graphics and marketing requirements.
The Himalayan Fashion exhibition logo incorporates a traditional style textile pattern that symbolises the nations mountainous terrain and of course, its most famous landmark… Mount Everest.
The whole exhibition is designed to capture the spirit of the country, its people and way of life. From the vibrant colours of the prayer flags to the spiritual patterns and symbolism of the country’s handmade textile treasures.
