ESOL for Refugees Toolkit Booklet
Client: Migration Yorkshire & Home Office
Migration Yorkshire provides strategic leadership and local support across the Yorkshire and Humber region. They work with national, regional and local partners to ensure the region can benefit from migration.
Inchpunch worked with Migration Yorkshire and the Home Office to produce the ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) for Refugees booklet, a toolkit aimed at commissioners and practitioners involved in English language learning for refugees. The document offers useful guidance, case studies and highlights current effective practice.
The publication totalled 104 pages in total and included a series of bespoke illustrations by celebrated York based artist Nick Ellwood. To ensure reader inclusivity, we made sure the illustrations featured a varied and vibrant mix of genders, ages and races.
To comply with the latest UK government guidance (WCAG 2.1) the pdf version was fully accessible and the visually impaired could read the entire document with screen reader software.
The ESOL for refugees booklet can be downloaded from the Migration Yorkshire website.
