Chaplains of the First World War Exhibition
Client: Bradford Cathedral
The bravery of the Chaplains of the First World War is not well known. Often at the front line, but never armed, these men steadfastly supported soldiers and sailors of all denominations and faiths. To help bring their extraordinary stories to life, Bradford Cathedral enlisted the help of Inchpunch Design.
When Bradford Cathedral first contacted Inchpunch it was to request initial design and print quotes required for their HLF (Heritage Lottery Fund) grant application. Rather than just supplying prices, we also recommended print specification, size options, mounting suggestions and advice on how to supply the content in a suitable format. This additional information helped with the success of the application and the cathedral secured the funding required.
The exhibition is a mixture of large (A1) wall mounted panels and pull up banner stands. The wall mounted panels were fitted to temporary partition walls (omitting any drilling / damage to the Cathedral walls) with the pull up banner graphics positioned slightly in front. Spot lights were fitted above the wall mounted panels to ensure the content can be viewed at anytime of the day / night.
The simple / temporary construction of the exhibition allowed it to be easily dismantled, transported and displayed at other venues within the area.
