Blackpool Museum Learning & Activity Pack
Client: Blackpool Museum
Blackpool’s first museum puts the town centre-stage, revealing its lasting influence on the nation’s sense of fun and entertainment. Visitors can get up close to the entertainers who turned a seaside resort into the world capital of show business.
Aiming to attract around 7,500 local school children annually, Blackpool Museum wanted to develop an engaging learning pack that would capture the imagination of KS2 students and contain the necessary resources for teachers to hold fun, class based activities.

For this project Inchpunch Design teamed up with Amy Baggaley Consultancy who created all the written content including activities and lesson plans.
Officially titled "Marvels & Mayhem", we developed two brochures (Literacy Activities for Key Stage 2 and a Post-Visit Resource Pack) both of which share the same playful, visual style.
Our design fuses a collection of retro circus themed illustrations, with original archive photographs, to create an eye-catching page layout that appeals to both students and teachers. The pupil activity pages were designed to be printed (or photocopied) using the schools own printer / copier, therefore colours are used sparingly on these pages so that they do not use up too much ink.
