National Agri-Food Innovation Campus Branding
Client: DEFRA / NAFIC
DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) is the UK government department responsible for safeguarding our natural environment, supporting our world-leading food and farming industry and sustaining a thriving rural economy.
Based in Sand Hutton, York, the National Agri-Food Innovation Campus (NAFIC) is a world-class scientific environment of international importance. To help market its state-of-the-art facilities to the global scientific community, they hired the creative services of Inchpunch.
Phase one of the project was to create a bold new logo / identity which would reflect the campus's world-class status. The chosen concept blends precision typography with a molecular looking "A" to create a modern and dynamic identity which visually suggests the nature of the business.
The bright blue and fresh green colour palette is inspired by our natural landscape (land, sea and sky) which links directly with the DEFRA mission statement.

NAFIC Folders with Pocket
Once the new identity had been established we then set about designing the required marketing collateral. First on the list were two promotional folders, one of which would focus on the NAFIC facilities / services while the other promoted the Lakeside Conference Centre. Both oversize A4 folders had glued pockets and a capacity gusset (spine) allowing additional printed material to be neatly collated within.

NAFIC Exhibition Items
Keen to promote their new branding, NAFIC requested Inchpunch to design two pull up banners and a pop up exhibition stand with lectern.
We developed the existing design style across all the exhibition graphics creating a contemporary and eye catching display.
This design synergy across all forms of marketing and promotional material is key to creating a distinctive and recognisable "brand" image.
